All About Us

STAFF
Our pastor leads us in worship and help provide pastoral care for the congregation.

All of our members are encouraged to be in ministry where they live, work, and/or go to school, and to be actively involved in a ministry of their choice in the church.

Elders and deacons, ordained laity who are called to be in service for Christ, provide additional leadership in the congregation.

Our Christian education chairpersons and teachers, youth director, organist and music director, adult choir director provide special leadership, and chime choir director.

MUSIC PROGRAM
We encourage participation in the music program of the church, which includes the adult chancel choir, junior choir, chime choir, and many opportunities for special groups and solos during the year. .  Chime Choir practices every Wednesday at 6:30pm and Choir Practice follows at 7:30pm.

YOUTH PROGRAM
We have an active youth fellowship program open to youth from grades five through high school. They meet monthly, and sponsor a variety of activities for young people.

PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN
Our church has an active Presbyterian Women's group that meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month for Bible Study and to plan various ways to serve the church and community. 

MISSIONS

We believe that Christians serve God by reaching out to others, both locally and around the world. We receive all the mission outreach offerings of the Presbyterian Church, U.S.A. and participate in mission through Wrightsville Food Bank, Community Food Baskets, Support for Children in Eastern School District, Volunteers in Mission, CROP Walk for Hunger, Presbyterian Homes, and Mission Trips.  We have traveled to New Orleans and Gulf Port 3 times since Katrina and plan return again February 2008.  The Mission Committee and the Membership and Outreach Committee meet monthly working together on joint projects and individually on committee specific projects.

COMMITTEES
We encourage all members and friends of the congregation to participate in the committees of the church. These include worship, Christian Education, Mission, Membership and Outreach, Fellowship, Building and Grounds, Youth, and Finance and Stewardship.
