Presbyterian Women

WPC has a very active Presbyterian Women’s Circle who get together monthly for fellowship, Bible study, and prayer. Throughout the year they host a variety of church activities, raise money and attend local events. If you are interested in learning more, please contact Becky Kopp at beckpp955@cs.com

Men’s Ministry

The WPC men’s ministry meets regularly for different events such as a community prayer breakfast, service activities and theology on tap evenings at the local pub to discuss significant issues of faith in a casual and communal environment. Sunday School

WPC has Sunday school each week after worship for all ages. We have four different classes for children from preschool through high school. The classes emphasize building strong faith community, learning the stories of the Bible, and developing spiritual practices that kids can use in their every day lives even at a young age.

We have two options for adults. The first is a more traditional Bible study format, and the second is a topical class that looks at different faith topics and discusses them together. If you are interested in learning more, please contact Pastor Simeon at simeon.harrar@gmail.com

Childcare

During worship we offer childcare for children in kindergarten through third grade. Children are strongly encouraged to stay for the beginning of the service and participate in the children’s chat led by pastor Simeon before heading to the nursery with our trained staff. We take child safety very seriously and all of our childcare staff have up-to-date clearances and work in teams of two with children.

Outreach

We are committed to loving God and loving our neighbors, and we do this in a variety of ways throughout the year. In the summer we run a lunch program Monday through Friday for children and caregivers who need assistance. From 11-1 anyone from the community is invited in for a free lunch and a safe space to hang out and do crafts and games. In the Fall we serve a community meal in downtown York, and in the winter we do an annual adult mission trip somewhere in the US.

Along with these regular outreaches, we do a variety of fundraisers for local and international projects and moving forward we are looking to use our building as a warming station for the homeless. If you are looking to serve the Wrightsville community then we have lots of opportunities for you. If you are interested in learning more, please contact Val Aubry at val@mssinc.com
