PASTOR JESSE NORTH

Pastor Jesse North was born and raised in a Plain Anabaptist community in Waynesboro, PA. He attended Shippensburg University where majored in Biology (Pre-Med). He was deeply involved in campus ministry and the Honors Program – which is how he met the amazing Liz. They took a “gap year” before such things were invented, during which they got married, and began a career in campus ministry with InterVarsity.

Jesse and Liz live in Lancaster with their two teenagers. Sam is a junior who loves gaming, HO trains, and plays football. Clara is a freshman who loves gardening with her Dad, has a gift for design, and cares deeply about God’s creation. They also have two dogs, the regal Natasha (an elderly Standard Poodle) and Mishka (a Husky-Poo). Liz has a greener thumb than Jesse and is a wise, gifted leader working full-time as the Associate Regional Director for InterVarsity in the Mid-Atlantic.

Jesse comes to WPC after 22 years of planting and growing campus ministries across Central and Northern Pennsylvania. Currently an M.Div. student at Lancaster Theological Seminary and an Inquirer in Donegal Presbytery, Jesse brings creative energy, a love for meeting and gathering people, and a deep passion for seeing God’s Kingdom grow in small-town Pennsylvania. If you stop by WPC and he’s not in his office, he’s probably walking around town or down by the river.
